Local records and account sync
The iPhone app keeps its working records on the device and syncs account records so another signed-in device can receive them. The browser app uses a local cache while it listens for account records. A page that has loaded from cache may show the last copy available on that device, not the newest server copy.
After signing in, allow the initial record load to finish. Before you switch devices or rely on a recently edited record elsewhere, check for a sync warning or pending change and give the app time to reconnect. A saved-looking local change may not yet have server confirmation.
When you are offline
The iPhone can show its local records without a connection. Changes made offline may wait to sync; if you sign out or change accounts before they reach the server, do not assume another device has them. On the web, the status area can show pending writes or a retry message. Reconnect and check that the warning clears before depending on the remote copy.
When you see an error, avoid repeatedly creating the same entry. Reopen the record after connection returns, confirm whether it is present, and then retry only what is still missing. If two devices edited the same information, compare the entries and correct the saved record directly.
Synced records used by connected tools
A connected read-only tool reads the account records that have reached the server. Its response can identify the time it evaluated data and the time of the latest server-side record update; neither proves that every device has finished syncing. Check sync status in Accrue before treating a remote read as current.
For API keys and connected tools, see API keys and read-only access. Do not use a remote copy to resolve a conflicting local edit without checking the device that made it.
If records look incomplete
- Confirm you are signed into the same account on both devices.
- Wait for loading or pending writes to finish, then refresh the page or reopen the section.
- Check whether an entry was saved under another date, site, or activity.
- If the warning persists, record the exact message and contact Accrue support without including client details.
