What appears in Tasks
Tasks can come from your selected program or board packs, from a site or supervisor relationship, or from reminders you add yourself. A task may include a source, guidance, steps, a due-date explanation, and a link to the relevant setting or supervisor. Open the task to read its full context before acting on it.
Some task dates depend on details such as your training stage, term, placement, or relationship start date. If the app does not know enough to calculate a date reliably, it may leave the task undated. Add accurate setup information rather than guessing at the date.
Complete, defer, or dismiss
Mark a task complete after you have actually done it. Recurring tasks return according to the rhythm you chose or the source's timing; completing one occurrence does not remove a requirement that comes around again. A recurring task is not a permanent “done” state.
If a task says it does not apply, dismiss it instead of deleting it when that option is available. The dismissal is remembered so a selected pack does not simply add the same task back. Review before dismissing a source-based item, especially if it is marked as blocking hours.
Task reminders
On iPhone, Accrue can schedule local notifications for dated tasks if you enable notifications. You can manage permission in iOS Settings. A reminder is only a prompt from the app; it does not submit a document or contact a supervisor for you.
Keep source links and written instructions with the task in view. If a date looks wrong, open the task's explanation and check the stage, term, site, or supervisor dates used to plan it. See Sites and supervisors for correcting relationship dates.
Tasks do not replace your records
Completing a task does not add experience hours automatically. Log activities separately in Hours, and keep copies of submissions or signed forms that your program asks you to retain. A task list helps organize work; it is not proof that an outside party received or accepted it.
